Product Design Consumer App

I joined One Tap Away in March 2026 to help evolve a fast-growing laundry app into a product ready for millions of users, improving the core experience, introducing new revenue streams, and scaling the systems behind it.

Designing for
what’s next.

Two hundred thousand monthly users validated the product. Two million is the target, and every decision from here has to hold up at that scale.

Growth was exposing
the cracks.

OTA had proven product-market fit. The next challenge was preparing the product and supporting systems for significantly more users, partners, and use cases, without slowing the team’s momentum.

UX debt

Inconsistent patterns and complex flows.

Accessibility gaps

Needed WCAG alignment for academic & enterprise contracts.

Scalability limitations

Existing experiences weren’t built for rapid growth.

Support tool limitations

Internal tools hadn’t evolved with the app.

From experience to
ecosystem.

Accessibility

WCAG alignment and inclusive design.

02

Core experience

Simpler, more intuitive flows for a broader audience.

03

Accessibility

A more inclusive experience
for everyone.

I brought key experiences toward WCAG alignment, including contrast, dynamic type, screen-reader support and accessible component behavior.

Improved color contrast
Dynamic type support
Screen reader optimization
Larger touch targets
Accessible component behavior

Core Experience

Simplifying the core experience.

As OTA expanded to a broader audience, I reduced complexity across critical flows, clarified interactions, and designed for users with varying levels of technical comfort.

Support Systems

The other side of the
customer experience.

I redesigned the support portal to help agents resolve customer issues faster, reduce friction, and create greater consistency between the support experience and the consumer app.

Interactive Prototype

New Revenue

A new way to keep
laundry simple.

I led the design of OTA’s subscription experience from end to end, including onboarding, account management, usage states, and edge cases like past due, cancellation and resubscription.

A stronger foundation
for what’s next.

In my first six months, my focus shifted OTA from solving individual UX problems toward building systems that could support continued growth, from subscriptions and accessibility to customer support tooling and the core app experience.
